It’s a Wonderful Moon, George was commissioned by the the iconic Norfolk & Norwich Festival to open their 2017 edition.
Taking place outside the Forum, Norwich in May of 2017, the production was inspired by a scene from It’s a Wonderful Life and featured an original story devised by Total Ensemble’s Artistic Director, Rebecca Chapman.
Complementing artist Luke Jerram’s awe-inspiring Museum of the Moon exhibit in the Forum over the same period, the storyline explores romance under the moon, with a malevolent twist in the tail.
The production received considerable praise from audiences and press alike, and was subsequently commissioned by the Young Norfolk Arts Festival (YNAF): a repeat performance with a re-worked cast and script took place outside the Forum in July 2017.
